- The light novel is very edgy, while season one is light-hearted and very, very camp; it is done in Rose of Versailles style. Years after the hype died down, the anime continued, this time aimed towards tiny tots and primary school children. This time, the style was similar to HeartCatch Precure and takes on a more mahou shoujo-esque feel. And because of the its overwhelming popularity, season three was created (now completely deviating from the original light novels) and became a spin-off series. However, season three can be considered a "spin-off series"
- As the series progressed, the art became "cuter" and coloring brighter. In season two, the action sequences became masterful and dynamic.
- There are many loyal fans for each season and it is heavily debated on which is the best/most pleasurable.
- The animation is high-budget and heavily endorsed; the openings, extremely catchy and sang by the famous up and coming j-pop sensations. Discreet sexual puns are made by Échiré for the older audience. No wonder it became a top-selling anime!!
- For some reason, panty-shots, and thus legit fanservice, were only implemented in season three even though there were sexual references mentioned in the first two seasons and the light novel.
